Duke Hockey relies on donations
from the community to function. Although the team receives
a sizable amount from the university, it is not enough to
compete with the budgets of other clubs in our league. Therefore,
we are extremely receptive to sponsorship, whether it be through
individual donations or corporate partnership. Please email

For the 2002-03 season, the team has established
several goals that rely on fundraising to take place. They
include the following:
-Preparation and fundraising for a team trip to Iceland during
Thanksgiving next season. The trip would include a tournament
featuring teams from all over Europe and North America, tremendous
sightseeing opportunities, and a chance for the team to bond
in one of the most beautiful and unique countries in the world.
We need to raise approximately $8000 for this trip.
-Raise enough capital to ensure team safety. Last season we
were marred by injury so we are hoping to purchase state-of-the-art,
custom-fit helmets, gloves, and pants. In addition to safety,
these items would give us a more professional look on the
ice because they would all be tailored to match our specific
team colors. Furthermore, we would like to travel via coach
busses on the road. Last season we had mechanical issues and
other problems with the large vans that we rented, and we
would love to avoid these issues in the future.
NOTE: Duke Hockey appreciates donations in any capacity. If
