The ACCHL's Best At the Helm At Duke
DURHAM, NC -- The Blue Devils are proud and pleased to enter
the 2002-03 with the 2001-02
ACCHL Coach of the Year as their leader. Coach Brent
Selman earned that honor in just his first year as head
coach.
Coach Selman turned a 10-10 team into a 13-9 squad that finished
its season 12-2. The team took home the 2002 Canes Cup for
the time in team history, as well.
Coach Selman brings a vision to the team, and carries an
attitude of success. He also possesses a hockey-savvy mind,
and a great commitment to the team.
Says junior center Dave
Bradley, "Coach Selman is the best coach I have
ever had in any sport. He seems to know everything about hockey,
and he constantly provides insights and subtle motivators
that go quite far in improving me as a player and a person."
Bradley's 2001-02 right winger, Jesse
Swanko says more succinctly, "Coach Selman is
the best thing that has ever happened to Duke Hockey."
