RALEIGH, NC -- The Canes Cup, which originated in 2001 and takes place annually in January, showcases college hockey in the triangle area. Sponsored by the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes, the tournament was won by NC State in 2001and 2003 and Duke in 2002.
