Duke defeats alumni team 5-3
HILLSBOROUGH, NC -- Duke got in some preseason action by taking
down the alumni team 5-3 in the first-ever Duke Hockey Alumni
Game. The Blue Devils were pleased to welcome players from the
1988 Blue Devil squad along with a few other alums but didn't
show the hospitality on the ice as they skated away with the
win. Bert Maidment led the way with two goals for the current
team.
Organized by Whitney Grumhaus, the event was fun for both
the alumni and current team. Next season, we hope for an even
larger event so if you are a former player please keep an
eye out for updates and contact
