After falling behind 2-0, Duke responded with six unanswered goals to put the game out of reach. West Virginia tried to keep it close but Duke's offensive firepower was clearly too much for the Mountaineers.

Specifically, Duke's first-line duo of Robert Fogarty and Steve Lake contributed a total of ten points. Fogarty had two goals and three assists while Lake netted Duke's first hat trick of the season, to go along with two assists.

Joe Crotty also had a big game for the Devils. The feisty forward had two goals and one assist. Furthermore, his physical presence clearly wore down the Mountaineer defense.

Finally, Duke captain Luke Wolin had a huge impact on the game, as he always does. The skilled defenseman had three assists and numerous important defensive plays that aren't recorded in the score book.

Duke hopes to take the momentum gained from this weekend into next weekend, when the team travels to Virginia Tech. Both games will ACCHL League Games.

GAME NOTES
Duke was 1-for-9 on the power play while West Virginia was 0-for-10...The 29 total penalties called in the game were the most called in a Duke game this season...Steve Lake had eight points in the two games against West Virginia this weekend and Robert Fogarty had seven points.
