Hokies Hammer Duke 6-1
 HILLSBOROUGH,
NC -- The Blue Devils lost to the Virginia Tech Hokies by a
score of 6-1 on Saturday night. The Devils were flat all night
and never built any momentum.
Duke did score first in the game on a Brian Markowitz tally
with 1:24 left in the opening period. However, the final two
period belonged to Virginia Tech.
The Hokies scored two in the second period and another four
in the third. Duke had no answers and couldn't mount a comeback
as they have so often in the past. The Devils hope a better
outing next Saturday night at home against Georgetown.
GAME NOTES
Steve Lake missed the game with a knee injury...Duke's Calvin
"Hollywood" Hui left the game in the third period
with a shoulder injury.
