Duke Ties NC State in Final Exhibition Game
 CARY,
NC -- In Duke's second of two exhibition games this season,
the Devils and NC State played to a 3-3 tie. The game was a
great opportunity for the guys who see the ice less often during
the regular season.
Duke scored first on a goal by Jesse
Swanko. NC State responded to tie the score before
the Devils jumped out to a 3-1 lead. Irwin
Liu scored on a nice deflection and then Eric
Shepsman converted on the power play. Shepsman's goal
came after a great passing play between Ben
Peterson, Dave
Bradley and Jesse Swanko.
NC State added two goals in the third to tie the game. A
ten minute, running time overtime followed the end of the
third but neither team could get the game winner.
GAME NOTES
Duke
will next be in action on October 18 when the team travels
to Atlanta to battle non-league opponent Georgia Tech.
